The Medical Billing Crisis for the Insurance Industry

 

Medicare has reduced costs by reducing the paid benefits by 11%.  Medicaid has reduced payments to doctors by 43%.  Private health payers have re-negotiated contract agreements with reduced payments.  Obamacare, not really sure what and if the exchanges are paying, but doctors and health care providers are complaining that they are making less money on the same procedures.

So what does this mean to the auto and homeowner liability carrier? You would think these businesses would reap the benefit of the reduced payments and see similar billing.  Well you are so wrong.

Time to take a look at what the insurance company is being charged.
